Hmm….’tis true there are many conservative folks in the Sacramento area but we have a large and vibrant GLBTQ scene too! As a matter of fact, I believe the last time Janine played Sacto her performance was SOLD OUT. I’m an L.A. native who reluctantly moved to Sac for a job opportunity, snubbed the place for the first few years by escaping to the Bay or L.A. at every (any) opportunity. It took the film Milk to inspire and remind me GLBTQ isn’t confined to the coast but everywhere and most importantly those are the places that need the most support. Lo and behold, once I gave it a chance found a community that rivaled Castro and WeHo. So I say to LATM get your sh*t together and book shows where you can truly make a difference. Challenge yourself a little. You may be surprised what you find outside of liberal junkets. See you in Sacto??
